The Guatemala mission team had a powerful, God-glorifying, laughter-filled trip. We worked directly with a ministry called Provee (Provide) which works to holistically meet the needs of those around them. During our time there, we were able to work alongside them in food distribution and prayer in the community, VBS at both a school and a home for girls, and a beach day for the scholarship students and staff of Provee. Provee’s scholarship program provides financial support for students to be able to continue on with higher education (starting in high school). Through the money raised via rice and beans week, we were able to begin sponsoring a student through Provee and had the honor of sharing a dinner with that student, her mom, and her aunt.
Our students were absolutely amazing the whole trip. They had their own Bible study each night, they engaged with the Guatemalans we did ministry with, prayed over people even when they weren’t asked, always had smiles on their faces, and so much more. The Lord worked to create incredible unity amongst the group right away, which contributed to the powerful days of ministry. The Lord is good and He does good (Psalm 119:68a) and we tangibly witnessed that everyday while in Guatemala.
