Congratulations to rising senior at United Christian Academy, Julia Dallmann!

She received word this week that she has been awarded a $10,000 scholarship from AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) to continue her path towards a private pilot license. Julia is the second UCA student to receive one of the AOPA student scholarship awards. She passed her private pilot knowledge test in the fall of her junior year and began pilot training using her own funds. Julia also attended a missionary aviation summer camp in Idaho in the summer of 2023 coming home even more focused on her goal of becoming a commercial pilot. The scholarship should cover the remaining cost of instruction for completing her private pilot license as well as obtaining an IFR endorsement ( instrument flight rating) before she graduates next summer. Julia is the 6th UCA student to begin pilot training as a result of the aviation program at UCA.
