Haven brings an excellent attitude, strong mindset, and positive energy to the volleyball court. As a captain, she leads by example, supports her teammates, and helps bring out the best in those around her. Her top-level defensive play, ability to make adjustments, and willingness to keep learning make her a valuable part of the team.
She’s also a great player to coach, always ready to listen, adapt, and grow.

Our students kicked off their first Chemistry lab of the year by trying to understand error and precision.
Through hands-on experimentation, students are learning to identify where error can come from, explore ways to reduce it when possible, and recognize the limits of precision when using different types of laboratory equipment. 🔬 📊

We’re throwing it back to the 2020 High School Retreat! These retreats have become a favorite UCA tradition and a highlight of the school year. Students get to step away from the everyday routine, build friendships, grow in their faith, and make memories together.
Now, as our current middle and high school students gear up for their retreats next week, we’re looking back with gratitude for the many students who have experienced these special times over the years.

Students are developing hypotheses, testing different solutions to see which ones create the best bubbles, conducting multiple trials, carefully recording their data, and calculating percentage increases and decreases to analyze their results.

Our Medical Terminology students put a creative spin on a classic PBS favorite as they learned how to build medical terms using prefixes, root words, and suffixes!
Inspired by Between the Lions and its memorable “Gawain’s Word” segments, students brought their learning to life with a fun spoof designed to help them break down and put together medical terminology. Because sometimes the best way to learn a new language is to have a little fun with it! 🩺 🔤 🦁

Mrs. Ray’s students had some extra fun celebrating the 3rd day of 3rd grade yesterday!
The number 3 was woven throughout the day with themed Bible stories, games, and books, including Rock, Paper, Scissors—which, of course, led to a few friendly rounds of competition! ✊✋✌️
To finish the day, they spent some time painting rocks, because after all…3rd Grade ROCKS! 🪨 🎨

Their Last First Day! 🎓
This morning, our senior class kicked off their last first day of school with a special breakfast together! Before heading into their final year at UCA, students enjoyed time connecting with one another, hearing a few encouraging words from our Head of School, taking plenty of pictures, and decorating their cars to celebrate the occasion. 🚗 🎉
It’s hard to believe their final year is officially underway! We are excited to see all that God has in store for the Class of 2027 as they make the most of this special year. 💜 ⚡️

Tech Upgrades at UCA! 💻
Our staff and many volunteers have been working throughout the summer to keep UCA equipped with current, reliable technology.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our UCA community during last year’s Jog-a-thon, we were able to purchase a new intercom and bell system! This upgrade will improve communication throughout our school and provide a more reliable system for years to come. 🔔
Our Aviation Program has a brand-new set of three uniform flight simulators! These updated simulators give our students a more consistent, hands-on experience as they learn the skills and concepts behind aviation. ✈️
We also welcomed a batch of 150 new Chromebooks over the summer to keep students connected, learning, creating, and exploring. 💻
We’re excited to see these upgrades in action as we begin a new school year! Thank you to everyone who helped make these improvements possible! 💜⚡️

Our summer camps wrapped up this week with some middle school students stepping into the world of June 1945 for an immersive puzzle adventure! 🕵️♀️ 🗝️
With a rogue Nazi element known as “The Fifth Column” on the loose, campers were challenged to track down the group and stop their plans before it was too late. Along the way, they worked through hands-on puzzles, digital challenges, and decoded messages. These campers were all in! 🔐 👏
