Our high school Chinese students took learning beyond the classroom with a field trip to Changsha Friendship Garden and the Asian Mall! 🇨🇳

Miss Anderson’s 1st grade students learned about Noah and his perseverance in building the ark. They're discovering an important truth: God created us with the ability to do hard things! 💪
In a hands-on challenge, students were given just 10 notecards and 12 inches of tape to build the tallest tower they could. Along the way, towers fell, plans changed, and emotions ran the gamut.
They learned that perseverance isn’t about getting it right the first time. It’s about trusting God, working through challenges, and choosing to keep going when things get hard! 💜

Our 4th grade students are studying artist George Morrison who was an Ojibwe abstract painter and sculptor from Minnesota, while learning how to incorporate texture into their own creative projects.

Our students returned from Washington, D.C. over the weekend, with a deeper appreciation for our nation’s history, founding principles, and the events that continue to shape our country today. 🇺🇸
Through visits to historic sites and meaningful learning experiences, students explored America’s story through the lens of a Christian worldview, making connections between our nation’s past and today’s political and social landscape.
It was a positive and enriching experience for all of our students, filled with opportunities to learn, reflect, and grow!

After smooth travels, our group of 39, 9th and 10th grade students and 11 chaperones visited the National Archives to see our nation’s founding documents, enjoyed dinner on Pennsylvania Avenue, and ended the evening with a ride on the Capital Wheel at National Harbor.
Beyond the sightseeing, our students impressed us with their flexibility, thoughtfulness, and respect for the spaces and people around them. We’re proud of the way they represented UCA and look forward to all that’s ahead! 💜

Through our Buddy program, students are paired up or placed in small groups, creating opportunities for mentorship, encouragement, and relationships to grow throughout the school year. 🤝
We love seeing our UCA community come together as older and younger students learn from one another, share experiences, and build connections that make our school feel like one family!

🌋 Science got a little explosive for our 6th graders!
After learning about different types of volcanic eruptions, students put their knowledge to the test with a hands-on lab designed to recreate the different eruption styles.
There’s something special about the moment a scientific concept goes from concept to reality. Our 6th graders were excited to watch their experiments succeed, and even more excited to try again, observe the results, and see if they could recreate the eruption types they had studied. 🧪📚🌋
